Beautifully vintage affair

So My last summer wedding of the year was a beautiful English affair with hints of vintage and antique and the textures were lovely to photograph....

Deborah and Ned were married in Deborahs home village and the reception at the local pub finished it off nicely, the sun shone and the champagne poured, the menu was rustic and simple and it was perfect.     A sneak preview of the images show that keeping it simple and thoughtful works. I'm a stickler for all the details at a wedding, if they are right then they are a joy to photograph and really make a difference to the overall photographs when you look through them all...

Archiving

Just been going through past weddings, archiving and backing up to my hard drives, I keep all weddings forever just in case the couple lose their images. Although nowadays after being given a CD of images they should be safe after backing up their own computer. But you never know.
Getting ready for the Designer Wedding Show next February I'm looking through all my favourite images to display on the stand.. This is one of them....

Photoblog

 

I seem to have recreated my blog, which is good, I decided at about 8pm last night that it needed doing, one of the many things on the list of things to do, so that I could display larger images.

I think Ive cracked it so I hope to be blogging more if not with text then with images, thats the point isnt it?

Getting ready..

One of my favourite parts of shooting a wedding is the getting ready shots in the morning with the bride and her family. It reveals a different angle of the day and is quite personal and an intimate affair. At some point the bride will forget I'm there as shes so engrossed in getting ready for her groom, carefully piecing together all the things
shes chosen for the past months to create her ideal outfit for her perfect day.....

A summer full of beautiful weddings, some here, some afar, so many to choose from. One of my favourites was one shot in Tuscany. It was a hot day and I'm yet to show the couple their images so once I have they will be shown on here. It was a long drive to the villa up in the mountains and gps didn't work so well up there! Momentscaptured map instinct had to kick in, and a few phone calls to the villa to get a few more directions!
